Musical Note Centers
Each audible note is already mapped to its own EQ band so you can work musically.

EQ and dynamics processing centered on musical notes — built to tackle uneven bass notes, tuning-related frequency problems and note-specific resonances.
Focused tools, clearer decisions and a faster path to the sound you want.

Control troublesome notes dynamically without unnecessarily affecting the rest of the performance.
Adapt note centers for non-standard tuning and the exact musical context of your track.

Target uneven or indistinguishable bass notes without manually converting notes to frequencies.

Shape tone and control level around the musical notes that actually matter.

Skip frequency charts and calculators and stay focused on the song.
More than a decade ago, I made an early version of this to deal with the problem of "one note bass" — overly loud or overly dead bass notes scattered across the fretboard. My mastering engineer ended up using it for far more than that, and I'd been meaning to update it ever since.
This version adds a limiter per band. In earlier versions, simply EQ-ing a hole sometimes caused more problems than it solved — now, with the limiter, you can get a hold of the mix when it's making trouble and leave it alone when it isn't. Enable a band, turn on its limiter, and switch octaves right under the spectrum display, with every octave clearly labeled so you never have to do the math yourself.
Our perception of vocal tuning can shift just by adding or removing certain frequencies, and "one note bass" — where nearby notes become indistinguishable in pitch because of masking resonances — is a common culprit. One-note bass and tuning-related tonal shifts can force engineers to reach for charts and calculators just to find the right frequency targets.
In the old days, engineers would bring up a note-to-frequency chart or a calculator and start plugging in values, hoping an old analog EQ's knob would land close enough and actually stay put. A time-consuming, frustrating process.

NoteEQ gives the notes in the audible spectrum their own calculated EQ bands, plus fine tuning and dynamics control so you can solve note-specific problems directly.
If the song uses non-standard tuning, a single fine-tuning control shifts all the bands at once, and each band carries its own limited dynamics so you can rein in a troublesome note without disturbing the rest of the mix.

“They figured out how to put everything into one plugin and make it work. Professional mixers I’ve talked to and friends of mine all love this.”

“The difference is outrageous. Even if you clean things up manually, the AIXDSP approach gives you control that is difficult to get any other way.”
